Facebook initially wanted users to create their own pages so that they can be in touch with customers and get feedback from them and mostly the publicity. But now Facebook is introducing the BUY button inside those pages so users wont visit any other website after seeing an information of products on facebook.
Initially when pages were created users were redirected to the particular url of that particular store. This won't happen anymore, according to Buzzfeed, Facebook is tsting this new feature and Facebook has also contacted with some big merchants (No names are disclosed). In June month facebook has added BUY button on these pages and some advertisement products.
This can generate a large e-commerce for everyone including facebook as more and more people will be engaged on facebook. Till now facebook hasn't said anything about the cut they are going to get regarding this e-commerce thing. But still its a big change from just being in touch with the people you love and at the same time shopping.
